Five Points; Dwarf

Five points Okra is a Japanese cultivar with a name that reflects not just the 5-pointed nature of the fruit, but also its exceptional eating quality . Despite being a hybrid with strong vigour, it consistently topped our taste tests when picked at 5-8cm length. Sweet and nutty when raw in salads, or smooth tender in hotpots. Plants are semi-dwarf, allowing denser plantings of only 25-30cm between plants compared to 50cm for our typical varieties. Plants start yielding at just 50cm tall
