An heirloom brown sesame from the southern United States, Benne grows vigourously, produce loads of flowers for pollinators followed by pods of brown seeds. the seeds are less oily and more fragrant than commercial varieties. Leaves are edible cooked or raw, and are a staple in Korean cooking. They taste bright, refreshing and not at all grassy.  A great backyard crop
